Some (all?) of the XB implements I've seen had Cat 0 pins and spacing, which means you can't use a quick hitch sometime in the future.

I have no problems with Cat 1 implements on a BX.

Looking for a rear blade for my BX25. I see King Kutter makes a 50 XB model but would like to find a 6' blade. Would the 6' King Kutter work? I saw a Bush Hog 6' (3506) blade that I really liked. Thoughts, Suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated........Oh using it mostly for snow removal. Happy Thanksgiving all!

I have a 5' blade and that is all you want on a BX. My blade is a Woods RB60. I would look at the Everything Attachments 5' value blade. It is tough to find a blade with all of those features for that kind of money.

I had a King Kutter XB box blade. With the 3PH all the way down it barely touched the ground so if you ran over a little bump it would come off the ground. Before you decide on a XB measure your lift arm when they are lowered. Measure the blades lift arm pin height. You want the lift arm pins to be at least 3'' higher than the lift arms at the lowest point. I think the King Kutter XB stuff is geared toward limited Cat 1 tractors, the BX is Cat 1. I also had a Woods RBC60 blade that was the same way as the King kutter XB box blade.

Thanks for the reminder bcp. I use Pats setup and love it but don't buy cat. 0.

"don't buy cat. 0"

I'll second that! Cat 0 implements have the pins mounted lower than standard Cat 1 so that they can be used with smaller, lower to the ground garden tractors. The BX25 uses a standard Cat 1 3 point hitch in which the lower link ends will stop going down at about 9 inches above the ground. So in effect, a cat 0 implement won't lower as low as a standard Cat 1 implement with the higher pins.
I have a Brinly 3 point Cat 0 12" 1 bottom plow in really good condition. When I first tried to use it, it would plow really nice furrows, but they were around 3" or less deep. I tried all kind of adjustments until I realized that it just wouldn't go down far enough. I finally worked around this problem by drilling another hole about 2" closer to the tractor in each of my lower lift arms and attaching the lift links to those holes, and I also bought and installed another adjustable lift link for the left side to match the one on the right that came with the 3ph. That combination allows my 3PH to drop to around 4" above the ground. I have not tried it with only one of those modifications at a time. The plow now works very well.
My Kubota ballast box wouldn't lower to the ground either until I made these mods.

I got the info about the drilling and extra adjustable link somewhere in this forum.

I have a B2620 and a LandPride 5'. A 6' would be too big.. I would rather be able to use it well, even if it requires another run-through.

I have a Rankin 60in that can offset and angled. Little practice with it so far but it is heavy duty with emphasis on the heavy. I would say it is the right size for my BX. Need also to give a shoutout to a fellow TBN member, Stokes, who has generously loaned it to me to use indefinitely. He even delivered it! :cool2:
