Looking for a rear blade for my BX25. I see King Kutter makes a 50 XB model but would like to find a 6' blade. Would the 6' King Kutter work? I saw a Bush Hog 6' (3506) blade that I really liked. Thoughts, Suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated........Oh using it mostly for snow removal. Happy Thanksgiving all!

I have a B2320 and my dealer said to not go bigger than a 5 footer. You can see the pic under the thread titled "Early Christmas Gift", posted today.

I have a Woods estate series 5' blade for my BX 25. I have never tried a larger blade but I wouldn't want to. I find the 5' blade can start to "steer" the tractor in heavy wet snow and when you've made a couple of passes already and the banks have built up. I suspect that a 6' blade would make that worse.

I have a 5 ft also, on my BX24, and it works fine in snow and dirt, with turf tires year round.

They're inexpensive for what you'll get out of them. Here's one: though I'm not sure of my brand...

Figure on twice the cost for a 5ft Land Pride, over that County Line blade, but the LP RB1560 allows you to offset up to 12" either side. That can be handy for snow work, driving forward. I usually work in reverse with mine, though, and it has no offset capability.

BX2360, loader on but empty, 60 inch blade at 45 degrees, half full of gravel, will push the front end sideways a bit on a firm gravel road.

As others have stated, you will lose the ability to steer the tractor when that blade is full.

the LP is also probably 2x the weight - which is an advantage.. The 'professional' county line blades are the blades that the ones that the heavier (duty and weight)..

I bought a nice used blade off craigslist. 5 foot. I'm sure the land pride is a great piece of equipment. I found my rear end sliding sideways when I tried to use it to scrape some sod last summer. I think a 6 would be way too big. Depending on the volume of snow I will use mine to either clear the snow or catch the spill from one side of the bucket and push it over to the other side for the next pass. I just bought a set of StabilWorks from Mark Hodge. Makes offsetting the blade just by swinging it very easy.
