I have a King Kutter 6' FM. I am trying to replace the stock wheels and tires with "no flats". When the new ones came in they are bit wider than the originals. I was able to spread the forks out to fit the wheel in but now the axle bolts are to short. The stock bolts are 3/4 x 5. I am trying to find some that are an inch longer that does not consist of mostly threads. Any ideas? I've already been to the big box stores and Ace with no luck. Is there a good online store?

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance,
Steve

"Fastenal". If they don't have it, They can find just about anything you need.

McMaster-Carr has heavy head bolts with limited thread. I have some 3/4x 6". They have 4.5" shanks. Youll probably have to buy a lot of 5 rather than single bolts.

Steve, I have run into this problem before and what I do is to buy a longer bolt that has the closest straight shaft to what you need and cut the extra threads off with a cut off wheel on my disc grinder. Then a little paint to keep it from rusting.
