Looking for others opinions

Not to keep kicking a dead horse, but I can't even find a ballast box on Kubota's website? Aside from that I was thinking of taking a 30 gallon drum, putting some holes in it so I can hook it up on my 3 point for a ballast. Then fill it with sand or concrete. Does anyone know if that would work OK or not? Does anybody know how much weight I need in the ballast for a B3030HSDC w/ LA403 loader?

Your counter weight should be about what the loader capacity is. 400kg or 800-850#. A 30 gal drum is too light, a 55 gal drum would be better, but may still be light. Maybe you can duct tape 2 of them together? Remember, if it ain't broke, you aren't trying!

Do a search on ballast and you will find plenty of ideas. Soundguy has one that is cheap and simple to build.

I still don't get the whole torque thing. I would love someone to explain (in simply terms, I'm slow) how that works.

I think your question probably referred to torque as it relates to HST transmissions, however if you're like me, I never really fully understood the difference between torque and horsepower. Someone explained it to me like this:
Torque = the length of the wrench
HP = how much force is applied to the wrench
