How well does it blow the snow as in how far can it launch it? Your tractor handle it nice powerwise even in heavy snow? What works ours hard is when the snow blows in at 50+ mph it lays in like concrete and on top of that if the temps are just right and or the snow is wet when it comes like that can get and even harder crust on it which is hard as heck for a regular auger type snowblower to chew into which is why I chose to go with the Lorenz with the more aggressive beater style augers and awesome reputation they carry for durability and overall quality.

As I mentioned above I only got to use it on the last snowfall earlier this year. I did use it to chew up and throw the hard packed 7' tall snow piles and it chewed them up and spit them out easily. I went into the piles slow and easy and about 2000 RPM (not at PTO speed) because it was hard. It still threw about 20' or so. I imagine fresh snow at full PTO speed would throw 30' or more.

Just got my new to me 730 home. Bought it online site unseen other than 3 pics online. Doesn't look too bad overall. Need to replace 2 of the 3 seals on the gear box but that is all I see right off looks really good for being an older one being serial # 375. Will get the gear box oil changed tomorrow and mounted up to the new to me Bobcat CT450 tractor and will get some pics to post up for everyone.
Here is the online PDF operations, maintenance and parts manual for the 30 series Lorenz snowblowers.

Just for reference if anyone ever needs to change a leaky seal on the Lorenz 30 series gear box here are some part #'s.
There are 3 seals all the same on the gear box.
Seal dimensions are 1-1/4 inch shaft diameter by 2 7/16" outside diameter by 3/8" wide / thick however one wants to refer to it lol.
Lorenz part # is 010444
Seal that came out of mine was a TCM # 12243SC
crosses to a Timken / National seal # 471818
and the SKF / CR seal # 12621
SKF / CR is what I am installing as that's what my local parts house gets.

That's great to post info like that. Someone will feel like they hit the jackpot when they find this in a search months or years from now.

You guys are welcome!
I like to share info that is actually meaningful and factual when I can to eliminate the BS and opinion type stuff that clutters up threads.
Sorry i hijacked this thread but since it was titled for a specific model I wanted to keep it simple as i think it helps cut down on forum clutter too.

Ha Ha, Just picked up the seals, SKF box part # 12621 on box, take seal out of box and it is a national seal part # 471818 inside.:laughing:
As my post above shows I have the correct part #'s but didn't expect this lol.

Well my good deal isn't so good anymore. Replaced the input seal today popped the top off the gear case and cleaned out the sludge and crap from having moisture in it and lack of maintenance over the years the way it looked filled with new oil and installed PTO shaft and hooked it up and ran it for a few minutes at rated speed to make sure nothing else was going to fly apart lol.
Spending money on it in a big way. PTO shaft was way too short so had local driveline shop build a complete new one $600.
Replace JD ends with Pioneer male ends and hooked up the Hydraulic chute / spout rotational motor and hit the lever a couple times and no turn and oil squirting out between the sections of the motor, removed it and it's completely shot. So found a brand new aftermarket replacement on e-bay for $113 free ship and 2 year warranty, new Char-lynn eaton motor is $300+shipping.
Just as reference old Char-lynn Eaton PN was 130-1001-003
New Char-lynn Eaton Motor # is 101-1001-009.

Got to try my blower out for the first time a couple days ago, had some drifts in my yard that were about 2 feet deep, had to adjust the angle a couple times as i relocated a fair amount of gravel and sod lol. Got that done and am super impressed at how this thing eats snow and how far it throws it is purely amazing. I have a longish driveway so by the time i get to the end about the last half of the distance is once blown snow already and it ate this stuff up like nothing, didn't even phase the performance like it does most other blowers. I am impressed to say the least, did have one auger shaft bearing begin to fail have it apart right now and will get a new one next week.

Lorenz part # is 010021
replacement bearing part # is SBPF 205-16

I am finishing up rebuilding an older 630. Converted to hydraulic rotation, electric chute power angle, new chain, replaced all bearings (if yours set out and became rusted, plan for a tough job), replaced most all hardware and painted. Still need to put on the new decals.
Working on an upgraded chute rotation bearing plate to replace to horrible factory metal on metal design.
Couple words of advice. If you buy any parts trom Lorenz order them ALL at the same time because they don稚 quote freight and I was suprised when the <1lb $30 chute clamp cost me $20 shipping.
If you have blown geabox seals, make sure that the fill plug breather hole is not plugged with dirt or paint because they will just blow out again replacement.
