speaking of finding things.. my horse would throw a show every now and then and I walk the entire turn out 3-4 times and never see it. but wouldn't you know that if I mowed it.. the mower'd pick it up and throw the shoe..

That's how I find any lost wire or twine--I seem to wrap it around the spindle whwn I mow,

Years ago our kids gave my wife a little battery powered device that sounded a few beeps when you clapped your hands. This was to help her find her keys that she couldn't remember where she put them. They worked pretty well.
One day she put the keys on the dashboard. I got into the drivers seat and used my keys to go for a ride. During the ride her keys slid into the defroster opening and the expense to get them out wasn't worth it. From then on every time we went over a bump that darn thing would beep. We avoided certain roads because that little beeper would beep non-stop. The battery finally died after about 6 months.
If any future buyer was into the defrost hoses they would find an extra set of keys and a little device with corroded batteries.
