I wonder how crawley made out with his upgrade? I want to have the dealer upgrade my tractor when I have it in for the 300hr service.

Is the R3039 the same frame as the XR3037C?? I am about to drop the $$$$ on an XR3037C but don't want any issues. Stepping up to the 40 series for me would mean another 10K in new WIDER attachments and i really don't want to go there right now.....

I know mjstef already has his XR3037C but for others considering purchases the XR3037 loader frame brackets are totally different design from what you see in the pics that have been provided so far for R3000 series. Here are pics of my XR3037HC loader mount brackets. There are 3 bolts in front and 3 at the back of the bracket. At the bottom is another bracket (square tubing) bolted to the lower part of the loader mount running to the back and bolted up to the rear differential.

Very similar actually, your second picture is just to the rear of the location in question...

@joemd11- I had to wait a while for the dealer to put the brackets in place (in-house shop issues). There was a 1.5hr labor charge but i was ok with that. There was nothing wrong with my tractor's frame and i have pushed my tractor pretty hard. I just didn't want this issues hanging in the back of my mind. I am so thankful for the guys on this site for communicating issues and talking about solutions!!

Thanks for the info. I talked to my dealer yesterday and he didn't know about any retrofit for the R3039 model and said there is nothing from LS on the issue. I asked him to contact the factory rep to investigate further. I would like to get my tractor upgraded when it goes in for the 300hr service. We'll see what my dealer finds out.

I just bought a 3039 and it did have the new loader brackets in place. It was the first thing I checked when I got to the dealership.

Congrats on the new tractor! Post some pics when you have the chance.

Nice tractor! I really enjoy the heck out of mine.
My dealer called yesterday and said he talked to the factory rep about upgrading my loader brackets. The rep said that they are only upgrading tractors within a certain serial number range and that my tractor did not fall within that range. Seems odd since it looks like later models of the R3039 got the upgraded brackets. Not sure if I should press the question or let it go and see what happens.

I haven't gotten mine yet, but they are supposedly on the way. I bought mine in 2012.

Just to update, i went by the dealer to pick up my bracket kit for my tractor today. It just happened that the LS rep was there, as well. The dealer that ordered my brackets is a new dealer, and is only about 1 1/2 miles from me. Unfortunately they said they werent yet equipped to do this type of repair, (no welding capability). The rep told me to take it to the dealer that I bought it from, and they could handle the repair. He even called the selling delaer while I was there, and told them to take care of it, and send the claim to LS. No charge for the retrofit kit, or the labor! The only drawback is that the selling dealer is about sixty miles away. So off I went with parts, now just to get it to the other dealer! Oddly enough, the rep said they'd had more issues with the 4041/4047s than the 3039s?

Great rep. Good for LS

Great that you are getting the problem handled proactively, but find it hard to believe the beefier 4041/4047 frame had more problems. Did he elaborate?

Interesting ... I haven't heard of a single issue regarding the R40XX tractors ... ?

I was suprised when he told me that, as well, with the 41/47's having a heavier frame. He mentioned that my dealer was familiar with the repair, as they have done two. I talked with my dealer this morning about getting it in to take care of this, and found out the couple they did were indeed the larger frames! That's the first time I've ever heard of it on those machines, as well.

My dealer ordered my frame kit. He said there's a service bulletin on it. Parts and labor free.

I have a 2011 LS tractor i3030 and having the same issue. The first sign of a problem was when my engine fan blades were rubbing on the fan shroud. This would happen only when I lifted a load with the front loader bucket. I then did some investigating and found a upward crack from where the cross member is welded. I dont over work my tractor and use it to clean out wood shavings from horse stalls and occasional rocks and dirt. Seems like a design flaw to have a crack with only 220hrs on it. I called my dealer and he is going to call LS tomorrow to see if there is a reinforcement kit available for this tractor.

I have a 2011 LS i3030 with a cracked subframe also. It all started with a load noise when my fan was rubbing the fan shroud. It only did this when picking up a load with the bucket. Then I noticed the crack right above the cross member weld. I called my dealer and he is going to call LS tomorrow to see if theres a reinforcement kit available for my tractor. It only has 220hrs on it and I use it to clean out horse stalls and chicken pens. Seems like a weak design which causes this to crack.
