gwdixon, steered you right, follow your manual for greasing all points and change your engine oil at least once a year even if your hours are low. I did this on my BX23 TLB and never had a issue. You may want to use synthetics oils if you live in colder areas for the winter, It makes starts a bit easier on engine.

For engine oil I have used Rotella, Kubota and New Holland, SUDT for the transmission; lithium base in grease gun. I use mine year round, so I go by hours, but if you don't put enough hours, I would change engine oil yearly anyway unless stored in a heated place. The BX is really simple to service.

I use Breakfree CLP.

@TripleR: I used to use a gun oil called CLP that came in jugs and I don't recall a brand name on it....had teflon particles in it. Is that the stuff you use?

I got turned on to fluid film by someone in this post,( sorry I don't remember who) to free up my 3pt hitch "eye balls" and I was really impressed with the performance it did amazing things.......until it got cold then it Turns thick and harder to move parts. unless something else happened between plowings, I have to assume it is the cold. It is nice to have a candy smell on you after hooking up 3pt hitch instead of the diesel smell of "PB penetrating oil"...

boxers versus briefs. use whatever you are comfortable with, just change it regularly.
