Isn't there a grease fitting on the pin end of that rod?
If the clay is still wet, open the bucket all the way and heat the bottom and sides with a rosebud and the clay will fall out. If the clay is dry hard-packed let it soak with water or water/lime mix overnight then try the above. What I have heard in other forums that seems to work is that you can treat the area to be excavated with lime for thirty days prior.The bucket is so stuffed with clay I only get a small of dirt/clay each time. I tried to pry it out with a T post, no luck. Anyone have ideas about getting the bucket empty and keeping it mostly empty?

Nope. Think about it. Grease would be worse than clay. :laughing: A heavy coating of Pam will work for about two bucket loads I'm told. The main problem is the right angles inside the bucket - they allow the soil to become compacted with no way air can slip behind itI am thinking about greasing the bucket too
