Mag Cup Holder

Does anyone here have the Mag Cup Holder shown on this site for sale? Does it work well? Like all of you, I am sure, I have spilled countless " COLD DRINKS" while on my tractor thru the years, and thought this might be a good solution....

Sticks pretty much wherever you put it, on metal of course. Large enough to hold a big bottle of whatever and pockets for phones, pager, candy bar, etc.

I got one about 2 months ago. Magnets are plenty strong. I have used it discing, mowing, loader work, and when using the preseeder. Hasn't moved at all. I wish the pockets were a little bigger, but overall good product.

Didn't someone make their own a while back. I remember a thread.
I bought a huge Coke mug at Walmart the other day and have an old hard drive, which if I remember correctly is where you get the magnets from. Doesn't have all the pockets, but I don't like the looks of the one advertised anyway.

That's a good holder for my needs... will a can that in a "cuzzie" foam coller fit into that... or do only bare cans fit ?

I don't have a website for it, I bought it over the counter at Northshore Marine Supply here in Houston. I went out and measured it, 3 1/2". I measured a couple of coozies I have here and the largest was 3 5/16" so it should work. It is made out of heavy Nylon or Delrin or some such material so you can spread it a good ways without hurting it.

Ask for Mark and when he doesn't remember what cupholder he sold me, let me know and I'll go remind him. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It listed for $20 bucks or so and is well worth it.

In the add for Mag Cup Holder it states "The force of the five magnets provides more than enough strength to hold the Mag Cup Holder on your tractor, even when you're doing high-vibration jobs like field mowing or tilling." That is a total misrepresentation of the facts. Those magnets are so week that when you try to open the Velcro storage area it pulls the entire Mag Cup Holder right off the tractor no matter where it is placed. A TOTAL RIP OFF. DO NOT BUY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
