A question for those of you with 1526 experience. Being the width of the 1526 is 63", I would like to get a box blade that extends past my tires. Would it handle a 6' box blade full or should I go with the 5'?

Don’t get the 5’- yikes! That would drive you nuts! And too wide you end up limiting yourself in tight areas- plus you run out of HP if pulling hard. I’d get something in the 66-72” range.
If you can swing it, I’d look into a hydraulic top and tilt kit. I have a Gearmore kit but the fit-rite is highly rated- he is on TBN. He was backlogged a few few months but needed full payment up front......
Anyway, T&T is a near must have if you plan to do a lot of grading- dirt driveway, snow removal etc.

This 65" roll over box blade (ROBB) is what I consider to be the perfect box blade for your tractor. Good width, good weight, good versatility.

That ROBB looks like an intriguing piece of equipment! I would expect it to be a little out of my budget though. It seems to me the cost of a typical bb has increased considerably within the last few years. A bb that was $500 is now around $700+. Anyway, I do have a top and tilt that I fabricated last summer and seems to work pretty well so I might have to go with a 6' unless I can find a 66".

If you are looking to spend less than 1K, then yes you will need to get a 6 footer. Try to get as heavy a unit as you can afford. Weight is your friend when it comes to grading. ;)

I have a 5 ft box for my 1626 which I got a good deal on and that's what's going behind mine, which is 63 inches wide as well. I'll live with it being short an inch and a half on both sides. I think the over flow from the box will cover the tire tracks and if it doesnt I'm not too worried about it just using it mainly for gravel driveway maintenance.

I am pulling a 72" Woods box blade with the Mahindra 1526 HST. No problem in the low / medium range.

I would prefer a 72 but I already have the 60 and its brand new so that's what has to go on it for now. Thanks for the info though.
