Yet because of the wider tires your turf PSI will actually be less than the 2230
I don't know that the statement is true, but if it is, the Mahindra weighs more and provides less traction because the PSI of the tires is lower. And if the PSI is lower due to the wider tires, then physics dictates that even with more surface area on the tires it has to have less traction. Then what advantage does the extra weight provide? None.
And since it offers less PTO hp than the little BX, it would also be the inferior mowing machine in terms of providing power to the deck when the lawn gets a little too tall. Given similar size mower decks, the tractor with more HP will simply perform better.
And since the frame of the 2015 is a bit larger, it will not turn as well around the landscaping so that means it will take longer to mow with.
I guess there is a reason that the BX and the B series Kubotas are far and away the most popular mowing tractors in the US. I can't say what will cost more or less, but I suppose if the 2015 costs less then it proves you get less even if it weighs more.
