The 1540 I tried ou before getting my 4110 felt a lot lighter to me, the extra weight is one reason I went with the 4110.
It is heavier than the 1540... I got it cheap lol

The 4110 would probably handle a 7 foot cutter. I've cut some awfully big stuff with my 4110.
I have ran an 8 ft Woods Brush Hog type cutter. My 4110 needs weight if operating on hills. The engine more than enough to use the cutter. But, for whatever reason, didn't put a slip clutch on unit.. Clearing brush a breeze when I wind up 8 ft cutter, lots of torque. However, stalling out on stump or something else stops tractor dead. I believe responsible for breaking tooth on big power take off gear. Since cutter doesn't have any belts to slip, a clutch is a must i believe. I would be happy with a 7 ft. 8 is a little too big , have to be careful.
