Mahindra 6000 4WD....what's that lever for???/

the 4wds were at the tail end of the 00 series... I know they went to a single engage independent when they went to the 30 series but could have been in those also.... the only other lever I could even think would be there would be the 4wd and maybe the Aux valve lever (rear remotes)

It's not the 4wd lever...I guess I'll try the PTO thing...in both positions of this strange lever...see if there's any difference...to my knowledge I've never used it as long as I've had the tractor..(many moons). Also its not the aux. valve lever for the rear remote...BobG in VA PS: I've been thru the whole 6000 series parts manual and I can't locate this lever...

If its two side stacked levers the exact same size then one is for the pto clutch.... if you havnt been using it then your prolly getting a grind when you go into gear.... but a picture would be most helpful

They aren't the same size, BUT I started the tractor today (we've had about 6 inches of rain over the last week or so, and this was the first chance to check it out in a couple of days...) I engaged the PTO lever, and all happened as it always does...shaft turns...THEN, I got back up on the tractor, took the PTO lever off, clutched the tractor and moved the suspect lever (the one I didn't know what it did) to the rearward position, then re-set the PTO lever...Voila! the shaft wasn't turning....so, I re set everything so the PTO again works...funny, I never gave that lever a thought until about 10 days ago...now I probably won't give it a thought for another 15 or so years....thanks for all that helped!
