Maybe, YOU SUCK, as a tractor owner. One cannot possibly have knowledge of how to own and operate a piece of machinery and post something like:
"I have torn this machine up. I run it through ****!!"

Mud

Maybe it's just me, but if I had a torn up machine that I apparently had taken through **** and back, I would be happy just to be back.:D

That was funny I liked that. Well Yes I have ran this machine hard. If you all read my othert post I also run my car hard. I put 3,000 miles or more a month on it. 2003 ford taurus. Still runs great with no major maintenace yet but changing oil evey 3000 miles that has 135 thousand miles on it right now. I use the skid loader at work hard and never gave me problems. I run my john deere 544 hard and never gives me problems. What constitutes the definiton hard. I use my millermatic hard. It has a duty cycle of 35% which means you can weld for 3.5 minutes per every ten minutes and I use it pass that sometimes. It still works great after 8 years of building fences. Using something hard can also mean using it constantly. If you go to Bills Website
http://billstractor.com/ and check out what he says about the 2615 on the written description and this is what it says "This would be a great little tractor for up to 10 acres." Okay so I have tried to cut up to 12 acres. It does not do it. It takes 2 days. Stopping a cleaning radiator and checking stuff. So this is what I mean by running machine hard. This tore it up doing 12 acres. BUT HEY. THAT IS WHAT BILL SAYS IT CAN DO. This tractor will cut about 5-7 acres a day. The rest you are tearing it up in my opinion. Okay I am happy with that. Thats better than my riding lawnmower. But to have to keep getting off the machine and cleaning the radiator out every 15 minutes. SUCKS!!!!!!!!. So now I am not happy. How many of you have to clean your radiator every 15 minutes on 18 inches of grass. Yes I have droven it through mud. It was fun. It did a great job going through it. My 4 wheel drive blazer goes through mud also and still runs great. I also see many tractors that are the same size as mine up north with snow plows on them. What are they doing with this machine. That is tearing it up. Salt from the roads is the most corrosive thing and hits that metal hard on tractors. And it talks about warranty issues on this subject. And of course snow is wet and there is mud underneath. UHM!!! Most people on this post are farmers. Do you all not pull a heavy plow, Pull tree stumps out of the ground and other heavy stuff. I do not do anything as hard as that with mine. But it is falling apart. I liked My mahindra untill it started to fall apart. Overheats from day one. Every body on this board acts like a bunch of saints. They are never hard on there tractor. None of you all have never put your tractor pass the recomended use. Mine does not even get close to the recomended use. so NO! The operator is not the one that sucks MR. MUD. It is my 2615 HST that sucks. I am looking at another tractor to do 15 acres plus. Any sugestions would be fine. Yes there are lemons out there. And I feel my 2615 is a lemon. Things do not fall apart in 3 days.

Out of your own mouth you are an abuser of equipment, and have reaped what you have sown. My 2625 HST is nearing 275 hours, has cut grass and brush in excess of 6', and only overheated once when the chaff built up before I realized what was happening. Since then, I've never had a problem because I don't neglect my tractor.

You must treat equipment with love and respect. Something you have missed out on I guess.

Than like I said. I must have a lemon. Apparently you did not go to bills website thaT sold me the tractor. This tractor is good for 10 acxres plus. Has not even got near that. So how am I abusing it. I tried it and that is when I posted I am hard on it. Because I have realized this machine will not do what it says. That is not abusing equipment. Only if you keep trying to do it. My tractor from day one has not been able to cut grass even 2 feet tall without over heating. So apparently it is my fault the axle fell off from day 3 and it is my fault that Mahindra did not put a battery tie down that crashed through my front end. Abusing and being hard is 2 different things. I`m glad you have a good machine. And it treats you fine.

Thinking about going round and round here. I finally come to a decision. I will offer any one that lives in the san antonio area to come and pick up my machine and use it for 6 weeks that post on this board. And I am even going to change the oil first. Take radiator out and clean and than grease all machine fittings real good. Lets stop this bull crap and I am willing to put my words where my mouth is. And if any one here uses my machine and does not overheat within several acres and does not break down. I will come back to this board and apologize. Any Takers. Email me and I will give you my number and we will talk about this.

Bolts coming loose = Try Loctite, get a good heavy strength just remember to heat it if you ever need to take it off. I believe it's green that was designed specifically for Caterpillar.

Overheating = Try taking the radiator out and washing it on the floor, after that hold it up to light to make sure you've gotten everything out of it. You may need a radiator comb as you may have lots of bent fins. Make sure it is refilled with atleast a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze. Leave cap off with it running to make sure thermostat opens and it's full. Could it be thermostat is stuck or missing? Circulation is key. Replace cap. Put clean screen in front of radiator. Try running it in the grass with side panels on . If it still overheats try without them. If it still overheats check head gaskets, oil and antifreeze for contamination from each other.

I've had a 6000 for 5 years now and the only time it overheated was with the radiator screen full of debris. Tractor shouldn't run hot unless it's dirty or there is internal damage to the engine.

Well after several weeks of posting the board is finally getting back on track Thanks jwcinpk for the input and help. If the head is warp or the head gasket is damaged. Will it cause the engine to get hot. The water is being used up and I do not know where it is going. I do not see it leaking or do I see it burning white smoke from the exhaust. If I thought the gead gasket was bad. I would of changed it already. I might try that but want some input. This has happened from day one on the water. As for the Loctite. Bill told the mechanics several times. Put Loctite on those axle bolts. Well it seems it is holding up right now. Just has the leak in the new axle assembly though. I have thought about running it wothout the side covers but I figured debris would get in there worse. I am going to try that also. I am opened to all sugestions. Thanks again jwcinpk

Yes I have ran over car doors, bikes and all kind of stuff. Running over them and seeing them after you cut the grass. I did not say I was cutting the car doors and bikes. I always run a very high run first on lots and use the front end loader to scoop what I find out of the way. Am I doing something wrong.

YIKES!

yes, you need to walk over each lot before cutting if you have major pieces of debris like car doors and bikes.

there is a difference between use and abuse.
