A few years back I built a 3 pt hay spike. It works wonders for moving the round bales in the field. The downside is I can off load the first bale on a trailer but the rest I have to roll off. I was going to build me a spike for the FEL and started looking at my 3 pt mover. Humm...... I slid it into the bucket and the top link hookup went right around the welded on hook. I added a couple of pieces of angle iron to the bottom with holes burned through them and the bucket (along with 5/8" bolts) and its done. I use a 1/2 bolt through the top hook to hold it in place up there. I haven't gotten to lift any bales with it yet but it seems pretty sturdy. One less thing to move around and keep up with and now I can do so much more. Looks like I'll be putting 5 bales on the trailers instead of 3.

Hooray.... your hay moving efficiency has greatly increased...good work!

I took my FEL hay spike and made a boom from pipe that extends further in front... for reaching into tight spaces and picking up something heavy.

I did the same thing with a 10' piece of 2 1/2" Steel pipe. It slips over the bale spear and is tall enough so we set trusses on our 24x86 equipment shed. My Father actually came up with the idea.
