How's the performance of the mower? Looks like it's taking down some pretty good size saplings. About how much ground speed can you maintain average? Also, I noticed your lock on the hitch of your trailer. Do you have any problems being so far out in the "boonies"?

The mower works well on material up to 4". In those pictures I'm mowing at about 2-3mph. I used the mower alot on this job, as there were rocks all over the ground that I could not see and avoid with the mulcher.

In regards to the lock, I haven't had any problems yet:D Whether the lock has ensured that or not, I don't know, but at least I have everything still and it is all in one piece.

Andy, you've given me a new hobby. Everytime I drive by a powerline or pipeline right-of-way, I judge on a scale of 1 to 10 how much they need your services. There are a few below 5, but most are 7 to 10. With all the gas pipelines going in on the Barnett Shale gas field here in Texas, ROW clearing is going to be a line of work with increasing opportunities.

Haha! I'm glad I've given you a new hobby jinman:thumbsup: I'm excited to see the future of mulching and mowing the ROWs of this country myself.

This next project was done last November and December. For the first month, I was tasked with helping another mowing crew clear vegetation on various natural gas pipelines in Connecticut. Fun project and was a great project for the trackloader since the terrain had limited rocks and was pretty flat.

The next few pics are from the same project. They show a couple good before and after pics around a house the gas line ran past.

The next set of pics is a couple before and after pics of a small ROW, a "striping" job in the grass of another section of ROW, and then the building of a "bridge" to get the trackloader across a stream to access another section of ROW.

This next set was from about a mile of powerline ROW in Avon, CT. Really rough terrain with a lot of snow, ice, and rocks. I was able to use the trackloader a little at the beginning and middle of the project on some of the flatter terrain with a lot of vegetation, but after that it was mostly done with the newest addition to my company's fleet- a Deere 50D with 40" US Mower head.
