Manual

The brakes may be taking the thread way off topic, but I do find humor in the fact that when I'm doing BH work (surface that is, now that I've modified my tilt bar for extra angle I sink the bucket for any BH digging applications), I envy the positive lock, yet 422 users probably envy the instant brake on/release my 2445 has!

Anyway, my manual specifically says that the machine has much more torque than the brakes will hold.

I don't think PT has any legal issues; however this is another topic, I think a "user compiled" manual could better discuss how best to utilize the system [or, though the brake system is one thing I'm not touching beyond PT specified maintenance, modify it] for particular needs.

( BobRip,

Just for clarity, are you referring to the "Service Training Manual"? )

No - I don't think so. The cover says Owner's manual. It has operating instructions, lubrication points, hydraulic flow charts, pictures of parts with part numbers, and wiring diagrams. How to tow. It seems to combine an owner's maual, parts book, maintenance instructions, etc. Is this what everybody else got or is it something different?

I have an 1850 Service Training Manual and a 1845 Owner's Manual. Was just curious if there was a "Service Manual" as well.

I thought I had another manual (pretty sure of it). I cannot seem to find it now. I believe it was the service training manual.

Can you say "Chilton", or "Haynes"?

They make repair manuals for all sorts of vehicles. I wonder if they run into any copyright issues? /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
