I apppreciate that. I found all the parts that I need for $167. They should be here today or tomorrow. I've got spring fever now. I am ready. Even the tomato cuttings that I overwintered in my bedroom windows are ready. One has a mater already!!!!!!

Glad to hear you are all fixed up. Spring fever? Uhmm...you want some snow? We have a surplus up here in PA, running a sale on the stuff :D

Sorry I was late, just found your post yesterday.

No no, I lived up in Latrobe for one fall and winter. That was enough. I worked for a stone mason that liked to go up in the mountains and pick his own stones. I was really cold that year. You have to be crazy to want to do that two years in a row. My sons live in Greensburg up there. Ex wife too. The fall was really pretty, then the evil snow and ice came.

I do appreciate the links given.

In your neck of the woods I think. I will go in the office in a few minutes and tell you exactly where I got them.

No Sir. Standing behind the machine looking foreward it is the one on the left where the actual chain drive is. Here are some pictures.

Here is what is left of the bearing

If you look closely you can see that be bearing housing is galled.

Glad you found the parts, when you can get to use it, your spring fever will improve a lot. I keep going back to your pictures and looking at the rusty inside of the chain housing and the rusty chain, makes me wonder if it ever had oil in the cover. I just assumed that all chain drive tillers had the chain running in oil, did yours have any? If it runs in oil, is the bearing sealed and greased from the outside or does the oil in the chain box oil that bottom bearing?

Thats the first thing I did was oil that chain when it came over here. I am not sure why it was like that. The only thing I can think of is that the bearing was leaking and I didnt catch it. I am going to make sure there are no leaks or anything like that. It was kind of a pain in the butt to get apart. I am not wanting to repeat this episode.

General Equipment Company in McMinnville Tn. I have it now. The rotor support came John Deere green. I dont care. I am just glad to have it. Comes with a seal too. I never found the old seal.

There shouldn't be a dry spot in there, the chain is dry, the housings half dry..

there should be a fill hole and an overflow hole..

The new bearing is a tight fit in the new bearing housing. I wonder if this is a press fit item?

If you can get the numbers off the bearing or even take the old bearing to your local bearing shop I am sure they can match it up and save you big $$$$:D
