You can buy them too, many bolt on options out there. They are usually called trash forks or brush forks. My local dealer carries a version from Sundown.

that's an interesting variation, but I prefer the original design. not sure why people go to such great lengths to avoid having to weld 2 small gussets to the back of the bucket. that keeps the bucket itself relatively free of obstruction, and much more useful.

using the fork frame as an underslung support does work really well though. I'll probably incorporate that into my version of the ratchet rake.

of course, there will be no ratchets.

Some oak tree limbs came down in a recent storm. I finally got around to picking them up with my little Massey 1710 workhorse!

that's a nicely optioned machine you have there, and impressive job on the stump!

do you have any closeups of that cargo box on the back? that thing looks like just what the doctor ordered.

That is actually a Befco flail mower. Serves double duty as counterweight so long as I am not in tight spots. I do have a weight box that I use for the grunt projects.

actually, it was the cargo box I was interested in, I wanted to see how it was mounted to the roll bar. :)

My mistake. Yes, cargo box is a must for me. I cooked up the idea of using standard aluminum square tube in a cantilever configuration to support an ATV front rack basket. It connects with standard hardware to mount to the ROPS with no drilling in the ROPS. The tube and hardware is from any hardware or farm store. The basket I found on Craigslist for $20. It is very strong. I can load it up with all my rigging for pulling stumps or chainsaw/fuel/oil etc. with no issue. I took it off for the winter so I could work on the ROPS lights but will post some close ups when I put it back on in spring. I looked all over for some kind of off the shelf ROPS mount tractor box but they were all too small or required using the 3pt. If I use the 3pt for a tool rack then I lose the most useful part of the tractor!

My dad's 1749 loading some large round bales that we were hauling out to my place today.

Would your 1749 be able to load the bales two bales high? Been thinking of getting a 1759 and part of its chores would be loading round bales two rows high on a trailer. I'm unsure if it would and wouldn't really want to follow through with trading my 2615 in on one if it couldn't.
