New tractors do break down also, and the parts are not any cheaper. Rebuild this one and
have the satisfaction of knowing what is in it.

That's the idea. Also there are a lot more electronics in the newer ones that can start off at 1k to replace not including labor or other items.

Forgot to mention I've been beefing/repairing the loader while it's off the tractor. When it was taken to the tractor repair place I noticed another stress crack on the opposite arm that broke. After the loader was pulled off the tractor I swung by my welder guy and we found that the reason it broke on the one arm and started cracking on the other was due to 2 gussets had broken their welds a while ago.

Didn't think of shaping pics before I started cause I needed to get working on it.
Anyway repaired the left arm from the new crack that was developing and braced it.
Removed the old gussets under the arms that had broken their welds and replaced them with new larger gussets.
Than made a few new pins for the cylinder lift arms and replaced the bolts for the upper cylinder arms.
Made some new hose brackets for the original hose lines. Next is to make some new brackets for the 2 new lines for the grapple attachment or for other attachments.

I'll take a pic of the left repair and bracing arm tomorrow, one I took was way to dark.

Ouch on the gearbox damage... I've an MF35 too, and want to build/buy cheap a loader attachment for it.

Gonna be adding 1 more bracket for the lines as they run down the front and thinking of making 1 bracket with bulkhead connectors to screw the ends to with the hose couplings on as well....

The front hydraulic pump stopped working a few weeks ago and found that the pump shaft, adapter and crank pulley were modified. The keyway on the shaft to the adapter had Sheard off over time causing the shaft to no longer spin. The bolts on the crank pulley had been replaced with studs and they were welded directly to the pulley. I ended up breaking one of the studs cause I didn't know they were welded in.
In the process of the repairs I have learned that the block is from a 1979 Lincoln welder. Had to go to a Perkins dealer to order a new crank pulley from England.
I don't know if the shaft was original, but the adapter they made was pieced together using a gear and a center keyway piece from tractor supply.

Order a new crank seal and put it in as long as you have it this far apart.
