Greetings, all. Putting this in the TYM slot because of them now owning Branson and I believe they still use Kukje engines with mechanical injectors. Question: is there or is there not a "cup" at the "head" end of an injector (in my case a A1700; 2011 vintage engine) that can/should be pried out when removing/replacing injectors? I've seen pictorials that seem to indicate this is the case; while I've also seen them that only depict the copper washer at the end of the injector. My intuition (I'm not well versed in the diesel world, btw) tells me there almost has to be a cup but again, despite having a service manual (that someone seems to have put together using copies of various parts of the real one . . .) I just don't know and I don't want to screw anything up by trying to pry out something that wasn't meant to be pried out. By the way, does anyone know the difference between a Kukje A1700N2 and A1700N3 engines? Thanks in advance.

Looking at the TYM site, the difference between those engines, N2 vs N3 is likely just the tuning for HP. The 3515 has an N2, the 3015 has a N3, the 2515 has an N6. N=Naturally Aspirated.

Mine is a T2300T2. T for Turbo.

You will need someone better than me to explain injection parts. Asteral knows that equipment well (iirc, he worked on them for a Branson dealer).

Thank you, Torvy. Asteral Is a fountain of knowledge for sure. In another post I explained that I actually found a sticker on my engine partially obscured by the exhaust manifold that says my engine is actually a A1500N2 and not an A1700 of either type and even though another source (a Kukje related site, I believe it was) stated A1500's weren't introduced until 2018 his records indicate they actually were available and used in some Branson's from 2010 - 2012!

My 2007 6530 has a sticker on the side of the cowl and the sticker is a big C with Cummins label through it. The engine was built in Japan by Komatsu Heavy Equipment industries, the tractor in Korea by Kukje industries.

Guessing the structure of engines and builders, apparently Cummins licensed Komatsu since they build a lot of big machines and later on moved on to include Kukje in licensing their engines since they built my tractor.....all mechanical fuel injection. I "hear tell" that TYM picked up Kukje to get their engines......curiosity here one would ask, why didn't Cummins just license TYM to build their engines too......who knows.......for you old geasers......"The Shadow" knows.....a radio hit when I was a kid.....before TV you sat in front of the radio and let your imagination go wild.
