Metal deck railing panel DIY ideas

Really neat railing Eddie. How are the railings mounted to the un-even surfaces of the posts? What is the finish on the railings?

I use a 4.5 inch grinder with a flapper disk to cut out a flat section of the logs with a wood chisel and then check it with a level. Each panel was built to the size of the opening, so they are all just a little different in size. Between the grinder and the chisel, I can get it pretty close. Then I use 3 Ledger Lock structural lab bolts to attach it to each side. I think they are in the 8 inch range, but I could be off a little on that. I know they are longer then 5 inches, but forget exactly how long.

I've always liked your pagoda/gazeebo... or whatever you call it. Its exactly what I'd like to build for my Mom.

Can you post more pics and give any construction recommendations?

Won't be building the fandy roof, but everything else looks great.
