I have ran across a new MF 1455 tractor that is still available. I can get it with a loader for around $20K. We have always had Ford's in the past with a couple of MF (full size) tractors along the way. I am reading some good stuff about the 1455 and it seems to come standard with almost all options standard. Is this a fair deal? How do the MF's compare to the Ford's? I am also thinking of getting backhoe attachment for it. Thanks for your input...

Thank you much... I am also thinking about a backhoe attachment for it... Any suggestions. Thanks

The Massey backhoe would be a MF1580. The dipper has 2600 lbs. of force and the bucket has 4160 lbs. with 100” of max. digging depth. It replaced the 1400 series backhoe that would have originally came on the tractor.

I've owned both Fords and Massey's and they are both fine tractors. Both were Older models but they worked a lot of hours. I did an engine rebuild on the Massey at 13,000 hours. By then it was tired but it still ran and did a days work.
