13' was from back of the Bucket to the furthest point rearward which was 3 Point Hitch Arms.

I've been experiencing trouble getting quotes on a true third function on the DL130 loader. Massey's kit swipes one of the two functions and diverts it for a third function and I want a true third function where I can run all three functions at the same time.

Since the dealers didn't seem to be getting back to me, I called Massey the Mothership and wound up talking to my area rep. My area rep wondered why they did not have a kit like i want and is talking with their internal people to put a kit together.

For Live Third Function most of the larger tractors hook direct to a Remote Valve. The alternative and what most larger farmers we sell to opt for is a Solenoid Valve that with a 3rd Function Switch on the joystick is engaged and you operate the tilt sequence oil is diverted to the 3rd Function instead of tilting the bucket. This is how we set up grapples for most Professional Farmers. The new larger 5600, 6600, 7600 and 8600 have the switch built into the factory installed joystick just have to run electric wire to solenoid with connection near the mid mount manifold versus running hoses from the rear remotes.

It can be done either way dependent on customers preference. Solenoid Control is much less expensive and probably why most farmers go that route.

I suggested using the power beyond with a solenoid to make a third function live, then running a pressure going to a two solenoid block with a built in pressure release. The two solenoid block would be controlled by two buttons on the joystick, the single solenoid on the power beyond by a single switch located anywhere. I've seen the single switch located on the joystick Road Warrior supercharger style, as well as in a switch blank in the cab. The two switches on the joystick could either use Massey's two button knob or something like the Scorpion's Sure Grip S-Series control.

As it is, there are generic kits for a true 3rd function. Everything Attachments offers one for example, but to get a true custom fit with lines would require some back and forth with them unless the dealer can make custom hard lines and hoses. Anyway, my suggestion to AGCO was that Massey should offer a true third function kit like John Deere and Kabota do for their compact tractors.

FWIW, I plan to use a root grapple, combo bucket and a loader mounted snow plow on the loader—all of which need a third function.

It's in the Operators Manual for different models and different tire size options will produce different speeds.
