Break Out force does not have a defined testing value and can be stated differently by manufacturers. But generally the term is used as the force generated to lift force of the loader like breaking out dirt out of a pile. It can be rated with combination of curl and lift and can be measured at the pivot pin (where back of bucket attaches to loader arms) or at bucket edge. The further forward the lower the rating just like lift capacity can be stated. It's harder to lift something out in front of you than closer to you. It can be a measure of the geometry of the loader and hydraulic performance.

One thing is the loader arm design. Massey Ferguson uses a 2 piece design the top arm that when level is parallel to the hood and a second leg that angles to the ground that is welded and reinforced at the knee. This keeps the bucket close to the tractor and distributes the lifting force more in the middle of the tractor to push down force on both wheels. Versus some loader that are a single curved arm design that extend further in front of the tractor and as you lift distributes more force on the front portion of the tractor and the reason some tractors require extra ballast to lift a load. We sell a lot more wheel weights to competitive brand owners than Massey Ferguson Owners. Think of picking up a 2x4 8' long and only use bend of you arm at the elbow. It's virtually impossible at the end of the board but grad it part way up and it makes it easier to lift. This is why the 2 Piece arm design can have greater lifting force due to the geometry of the loader. And explains why their are differences in loader lifting capacities and break out force. You can have great break out force and the worst lifting capacity do to the engineering design of the loader. The best way to compare is the best all around package.

So any 1700 series bought after January 1, 2014 is covered by this warranty?

Any way to grandfather a new 1600 series tractor to fit that warranty?

1500/1600 Series are excluded from the 5 Year Warranty and was told any 1700 Series Prior to 2014 is excluded from the new warranty program. Effective date for the NEW Warranty was January 1, 2014.

Does Massey have an insurance program like Kubota does ... where any damage is covered (with deductible) ? I think gold usually pay around $25/mo for it...

If you finance with AGCO Finance Physical Damage Property Insurance is available. Covers Collision, Overturn, Hail, Fire, Vandalism, Lightning, Theft, Wind, Flood and even Ingestion. Ingestion is important for those buying Balers or Combines as many companies do not offer this level of protection if something gets inside the machine and damages internal components. It's been very competitive rates compared to the competition rates of traditional insurance companies.

By "collision" does that also include things like the glass, loader, fenders, etc? I understand that with the Kubota insurance, if you break your glass, for whatever reason, you pay your deductible and it's fixed.

My understanding it's for all items financed. If Massey Ferguson Loader and purchased as a package tractor it should be. If loader added after tractor arrives at dealership it would be listed on he contract. The best experts about all your insurance questions would be from the helpline 888-989-8525 ask ext. 2857 or 5129. Holmes Murphy & Associates are the underwriters and they can answer any questions you have about inclusions and exclusions.

AGCO Finance Insurance does ALSO include coverage during transport. Equipment stored or used off-site from residence.

I wonder why they changed the color of the seat from gray to black. Black doesn't match the rest of the plastic.

Maybe a different (less expensive) source? Or maybe a better source for all I know. In any event, one way to look at it is that the seat now matches the steering wheel and cupholder. It's "two tone" plastic. ;)

Very nice MO MF Dealer. Whenever you get a cab model in can you please post pics of that too?

Guess if I was paying attention I would have seen the cab pics on page one. LOL.

So if my tractor is over at my dads, it is covered by my insurance? I have a 1635 purchased in 8/2010 and I got the insurance then but my dealer told me it only covered while at my residence.

FYI - I just spoke with Agco & Holmes Murphy regarding the insurance. They base it off a percentage of the purchase price. For example, on a purchase of around $31,500, the quoted me about $10/mo which covers practically anything you break (not maintenance or mechanical problems) ... but the caveat is a $500 deductible! Ouch. Can't imagine many things costing more than $500, even a glass door!

I beleive the cost of DOC/SCR technology is substantially more than DPF. Probably the end result (emmissions) is the same but power curves are likely to be a little different.
