Realise I'm replying to a very old post but others will be reading. I'm just 100 hours into a MF1840M. Hydrostatic randomly stops driving, I've found shiny (bad) metallic pieces in the Hydrostatic oil and now I have a fight on with AGCO. Not a good start - I would expect this from a Chinese brand.

My 1835M hydro starts surging after it warms up. Its not the engine. Feels like its the hydro and more specifically the controller or pedal position sensor. If you rotate the speed limit knob back and forth while driving steady thats what it feels like. Been doing it on and off since new. 370 hrs now.
