Looked at one before getting a 1529, the step on the 1526 moved under my weight and the floor felt flimsy.(weight 245) In contrast the 1529 is very solid.

radrock said:Well guys. I did go look and drive that MF 1526 today. It is a sweet machine for sure. I like the hydro throttle working together. It was bigger than I thought looking at the pictures. I have a problem if I was to buy one cause my box blade and finish mower is 48 inches. Tire to tire width was 53" so I'd have to replace those. As shown by someone in this thread the deck did give under me when getting on. My little 1215 is metal deck and metal fenders and they are bolted together. This has fiberglass fenders. Therefore can't or shouldn't be bolted together. I did get the price down to $15025 but found out that it did not have a mid PTO. That is now an option kit in the form of $845. Any dealers here know of anything different let us know! No offense to you GC owners but I tested a GC 2600 while there too. He had a bunch of those. In fact he had a lot of everything. I loved to see all that red. Got sidetracked. But the GC was like riding on a riding law mower after the 1526. That cushion seat was real nice too! I know that the GC would probably do everything I do nowadays but I'm torn as to what to do now. Hope this wasn't too long
