Regarding Charles' question: No, I have not yet done anything other than use zip ties and string to tame and protect the hydraulic hoses. I haven't had any difficulty but I sure think it would be a good plan to put a protective sleave on them. I'm a bit mortified
to show the photo of my hydraulic hose hookup but there was just too much grappling to do this summer and not enough time to fiddle with getting some mounts welded in place or protective sleaves installed. On the brightside, I didn't snag a hose all summer in about 75hrs of working with brush.

I've no problem in general with doing it with cable ties, though one of mine already got popped off and so I want to get some heavy duty ones. I do worry about the wear on the hoses and getting caught, so I'd like to get some sleeves on them. THough its good to know they survived the amount of work you did with the grapple this summer.

Look under hose and tubing then the protection category. Unless you want to take your quick connect fittings off, make sure you get wide enough protective sleeves that they will fit over.

I ended up buying them in Woburn at a hydraulic shop there - sleeves were pretty reasonable. I decided to get them narrow enough to not go over the quick couplers so the couplers would hold them in place. Which means that I'll have to remove and reattach the couplers - I bet that will involve a nice bath in hydraulic fluid.

I have a 3rd remote from WR Long installed to run mine. That adds a rocker switch to the FEL remote handle that is easy to open/close the grapple. You can't open/close and curl at the same time, but you get used to that.
It's been a while since I got mine but the Millonzi is still going strong.
