Mini Dozer

No, the quick attach (and several attachments such as the grapple, mini-hoe, etc.) use that lever down by your knee to control an additional hydraulic cylinder. The PTO is controlled by the toggle switch on the dash.

Here's a link to a picture of the controls on a PT425(circa 2001. Hey, only 6 hours on the meter! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif). You can see the main PTO switch on the dash. You can also see the handle for the AUX PTO down by my right knee, just under the key tag. On the PT425, the knee lever operates the AUX PTO. Most of the time, the AUX PTO is hooked up to the quick attach. Move it one way to lock, the other way to open. For something like a power angle sweeper that requires two hydraulic flows, you would drive up to the implement, slip the plate into the socket on the attachement, adjust the joystick to mate the quick attach plate to the socket, then operate the knee lever to lock it into place. After that, you are supposed to shut off the tractor, set the brake and get off. You then hook the brush motor hoses to the main PTO connections, which are the large hydraulic couplings with the blue plugs in this picture. To get the power angle to function, you disconnect the smaller hoses for the cylinder that operates the quick attach from the AUX PTO connections(the smaller couplers just outboard of the main PTO connectors in the picture) and hook up the power angle cylinder to the AUX PTO instead. It all takes about 30 seconds.

for going into detail that helps a lot. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif It's all new to me. I have 7 on the meter so far. Ya know I almost went with a 422, but I had a hard enough time justifying the 180 for my 1 + acre.

I researched garden tractors to death. After all was said and done I knew that just wasn't going to satisfy me. Now I find myself already thinking about a GT upgrade when the LT goes south. Go figure.

Don't mean to hi-jack this thread with this picture but I came across several of these spiders around my house around the same time as the tractor show.

Never seen this kind before and within a week I had one on the front porch, one on my daughters playset (about 140' away) and around my garage... Their pretty big, body around the size of a 50 cent piece. and with the legs spread he's pretty close to the size of my open hand!

BTW neat pictures. The green thing right of the dozers in the last dozer picture looks slightly like the the Power Trac transport vehicle. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
