If the rubber cups that you have are like the ones that pt has for the smaller hoses , I got two from pt to go on mine. they are a tight fit, but I managed to wrestle them on my hoses.

I got one set that pt has but I tried 1 inch rubber chair tips to cap over mine, They fit snug, but are still easy to get off. I drilled a hole in the end of the tip and put a small eye bolt through the hole with a washer on both sides and tightened up the nut , tied a peice of mason string in the eye hook and tied the other end to the hose, works good. Does any body know where you can get a boxed end open end wrench to fit the nut on the center section bottom bolt? They said that it was a 1 13/16 inch wrench but so far I haven't been able to find one. They told me at pt to check it after I had used the machine for a while to make sure it stayed tight. If it is loose and allowed to shift back and forwards any length of time it will egg shape the joint and cause it to break.

Here ya go, $104.98 will get you a nice German Heyco combination wrench to use once and hang on the wall. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

This is the first mention I've seen of the center section nuts loosening. Maybe we all need a big wrench hanging on the wall. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I have a huge 2 foot monkey wrench I thought I was crazy paying $5.00 at a flea market for that has since saved many a day.

I only wish it was left handed,

104 dollars for a knuckle buster lol. I live 18 miles from a chinese importer and 15 dollars gets a giant knuckle buster but they tend to do good. I call mine a cresent hammer. Dual usage lol. Im making a set of 2 to 3 inch sockets on my pattern burner. Ill take them to a full machine shop and Die file them and then heat treat. Ill pres s them into a pipe and make some deep wells. One thing we are required to do pn the bolts on certan crane parts is when they are torqued we take a chisel and put a fileable burr on them to keep the nuts on. Last thing you want is a 900 pound sheave wheel earth bound.
David Im almost done with the micro hoe gotta get some more pattern wire to make the compound bucket linkage and make a small die for the punch press to make the starting bend in the bucket. Take care Taylor Lambert

Not quite as good as a Stillson hammer, but better than a Phillips hammer

On a side note: Have you posted any pictures of your pattern burner in operation? I can't recall.

Yes, got two from PT when I was out there. Very tight fit, was easier to take fitting off the hose and slide on which I have done.
Have you looked into a good location to mount a small tool box?

Toy:
I was told by power trac several years ago when I got my 422 that the wrench to buy was a 1 7/8" and thats what I got and have used. Harbor freight and Northern tool have the jumbo sets and they will sell separately., I found mine locally.
