I think AKFISH built dual for his tractor so he could operate in in soft dry sand. He would be the go to guy for this.

Case on thee things has quite a bit of aluminum in them. Guess it depends what you plan to do, for just general driving I wouldnt have any worries but if your driving thoguh uneven terrain where you loading hte outer tire, is that much longer of a lever arm on the tranny your putting the force through.

Techwrtr2, what exactly have you broken on your Satoh, and what is the failure mechanism? Is it breaking in normal usage?

I'm not sure I'd consider a lot of our usage over the years as "normal". It's been a long time since I broke one of the bolts out back, I don't recall exactly how. I'm sure some of it was connected to removing the 3pt hitch parts and installing the saddle for our backhoe that contributed. I no longer do that since I have another tractor.

I've broken the frame up front a number of times but that was due to hard use/abuse more than anything. Ever since plating the areas and taking more care, I have broken nothing.
