It starts everytime no problem runs without getting hot just the whitish smoke and oil out of the exhaust..The motor seems to maybe have a bit of a sputter when i press the gas but i am not sure if that is how this 2 cyclinder is always supposed to be any help would be appreciated...

update ...thought I might start with a compression test and then check the glow plugs....while i have the injectors out is there anything i should check for?

i do not think that is how it is suppose to work.black soot out of the exhaust could be normal. the white smoke could just be the condensation in the exhaust and should clear up when the exhaust gets hot. the oil spilling out the exhaust could be a problem.the sputtering also may be a problem.it should work smooth when you accelerate.try some injector cleaner in the fuel.this may clean out the injectors and solve your problem.

Ive seen these problems get pretty deep in the past. Where did you get this machine?

i added some diesel injector cleaner last year in my fuel. i dont remember the name but i got it from a auto store. how was the compression tests?did you put on some good hours of running on the tractor? i did 6 hours on mine last week.moved 20 yards of dirt and dug up some stuff. z old beast worked nice.

good luck on the tractor.how long did you run the tractor? waiting to hear what you find.when a lot of machines sit for long periods the fuel gels up in the jets and prevent fuel from flowing efficiently. so with the use of additives in the fuel you could purge out the gels and chances are it could work fine.the compression test would give you the condition of the head ,head gasket, rings, cylinder, pistons.if you have good compression on the cylinders the engine may just have a fuel related problem.which could range from the parts starting at the tank ,the fuel lines, the filter, the injector pump, the injectors.the glow plug is just a pre heater and has no bearing on the engine performance.it just aids in starting.

Having read your other thread about oil coming out the exhaust:
How many hours on the engine?
What type of hours?
Diesel engines are subject to "wet stacking"
Wet stacking - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
so if the engine was underused it might be suffering from that. Try googling wet stacking.
/edit - and it's kind of a rule around here that new tractors have pictures posted so we can say "ooh" and "ah" :)
