KIOTI CK 35 HST
For our Kioti CK 35 Hydro, I purchased 5 gallons of Kendall Hyken 052 farm tractor lubricant from our local dealer that is now closed:( -- we are not able to find this same hydraulic fluid elsewhere.

Considering the cost of over $50 and considering that we need 10 gallons total of hydraulic fluid (did not realize that I had to change all hydraulic fluid at 50 hours), I would like to use this fluid and another brand together for this service.

Are there any problems with doing this? Is it harmful to mix brands of hydraulic fluid? What would you recommend?

It's alway's best to try to stick with one fluid but you shouldn't have any problem. Additive packages can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer as well as the quality of base oil stocks. Pick another good quality fluid and you shouldn't have any problems.

I agree with DP. Not all additive packages and base stocks are compatible and are meant to be mixed with one another. Mixing different types can change the chemistry and result in who knows what. I'd stick with one type. I am big fan of flushing as well, particularly when switching brands or types of lubricant i.e. going from a phosphorous to zinc based industrial fluid.

Too bad you can't get the Kendall anymore. That's some good quality oil. You could call around to your local oil distributors and see where you can get Kendall or an equivalent.
