OK what is a avatar, and I live on a gravel road that only I take care of.Actually it is a half circle drive with about 8 house holds that use this road, other than the occassional people from the other side using it. I am the only person taking care of it. I do good if I even get a thanks from a neighbor for doing it. Don"t get me wrong, I have good neighbors, but it seems like now, they expect me to do it, for nothing.

That's a 'common' problem, dunno what to tell you there, other than..............while in casual conversation, make them aware of what it costs to do this work, and hope they help out some.

I know a lot of guys have had success with the bead breaking thing, expecially on those small tires, but the drill pump was $6 from home depot, and the fill valve was about $10 from Tractor supply, and are well worth it in my opinion, it was very easy to do, just block up the axle, and let the air out of the tire by pulling the valve stem, and start pumping, Burp the tire every 2 gallons or so, with the built in air release valve on the fill valve, then pump in some more. When done put back in the valve stem and fill with air to your proper pressure. It does not burn up your drill, I used a little old 1/4 inch drill and it never really got very hot. The whole thing, both sides will probably take 30 minutes for your size of tires. The hardest part is gathering the parts and jacking up the tractor. Just my 2 cents.. but it was almost fun.

Around here Rim guard is $3 a gallon installed, so no messing around trying to fill it yourself. I'm not sure how much you'll save doing it yourself. Rim Guard will not rust your rims and it's about 50% heavier. The only downside is you have to bring the tractor or tires to them. I've heard other ares the dealers can come to you.

Hey, I finally got her done yesterday. The tank in the 1st pic, I tried 1st to gravity feed it into the tires. But that was too slow. After about 30 minutes I couldn"t tell it had gone down any. I hadn"t used this tank since I had acquired it from who knows where. lol I ran wires to a battery and of course the pump didn"t work. So, then I got my 3 gallon bucket, poured the fluid into it and dropped in my submersible pump in and it worked great. I figured this was the right size bucket ,because it would allow me to pump in about 2 1/2 gallons turn it off, then bleed the air out it. It worked fine, and I can tell it made a difference in the pulling. Even with the weight in the tires, it still wants to spin some. These are powerful little tractors to just be 16 H.P. My little tractor ain"t no pretty thing but she gets it done.

It took about 8 1/2 gallons per tire. I bought all 21 gallons the Auto Zone had so I asked for a discount and he said 10%, and I said man I am buying all you have in stock, so he said ok 20%. So that worked out great. The reason I had the small bucket on a block, under the valve stem was it had a small leak.

The last pic is for the folks that haven"t seen one of the fill adapters before. I bought this one years ago. The little hex head knob on the side is where you back it out to release the air that builds up inside the tire. Oh by the way, I didn"t mix water with the WWF, I used it full strength. -20 degrees below formula. zman:)
