Backhoe MMM with backhoe?

The price to rent a BH is about 500 for a weekend plus the 2-3 hours driving to get it and return it... Do that 4-5 times it was cheaper to buy it....

The CK20 we are looking at has a FEL and the BH... If I could afford the second tractor I would get my wife one so I don't have the fuss with the MMM.. We have a 17 HP garden tractor but my wife would much prefer a "real" tractor...

I guess this is one of those cases where you are not allowed to have cake and ice cream at the same time. )</font>

So would it be safe to say that removing/attaching both the MMM and backhoe in short time would be out of the question?

I'm in the market for a compact, but need to be able to transport the machine with hoe and MMM to places (i.e. my sportsmen's club or side job customers) use the backhoe, then drop it off and connect the MMM, finish the job, then pack everything up on the trailer and go (all within 4 - 8 hours). This would happen a few times a month, not to mention my own work at my home.

It seems the BX23 can do this easily or am I wrong?

Don't know about the BX23.
I sure wish that the Kioti line could meet your application needs.
Sir, you would not be able to change the MMM and the hoe out in a timely fashion. Its one or the other.
Maby some one on this form could give you another avenue for your application.

Yes the BX22 or BX23 was designed to allow the MMM to be installed with the backhoe on. So to use the MMM you just remove the backhoe and you're all set. The Massey GC2310 is the same way even slightly nicer because you do not have to remove the 3-point arms like you have to with the BX(for backhoe installation). Not a big deal but one less thing to remove.

Wow, it's been a while since I've checked in on TBN and haven't realized all of the posts this thread has received. Thanks for all of the input. The amount that I personally would use the backhoe would be pretty limited (maybe a couple of times a year). Are the brackets welded in place or just bolted on? If I could switch the brackets in even less than an hour, it would be ok with me. Any ideas on how long it would take? My other option would be to look more closely at a BX23 but I would prefer to go with the seamingly more rugged Kioti!

Thanks again for all of the input...

Well the BX is definately rugged enough. What your doing though is comparing a sub-compact tractor the BX with a compact tractor the Kioti even though the HP ratings are close. It would be the same as comparing a Deere 2210 with a 4110, two different sized(class) of tractors.
