Mobile Fueling Station.

I put mine on a used second hand Harbor Freight trailer frame - so I can tow it around as needed, move it around in the garage etc. Split setup, 75 gal diesel, 75 gal unleaded.View attachment 649086View attachment 649087

You tow that little rig on the road? Doesn't it need a license plate? Everything I have is diesel, except the zero turn mower. But I wanna replace that with diesel also.

I chose to put a SMV triangle on it and skip plates.

I do....however I live in a small town of 700 people. From my house to the gas station.....probably 1 mile. We use side by sides and golf carts in our town often (we have a city ordinance allowing them). Usually this gets towed up to the gas station behind my mile or my compact tractor to be filled. Moved around jobs the same.....but if Im moving it from my house to another job site (unless that job is in town or real close) - it goes on my trailer with the equipment and gets tied down. I wouldnt pull it behind my truck at highway speeds.

Hey Brandi... I've been around, we just respond to different threads.

My rig is only 50 litres (= 13.2 USgal.), but I purposely bought it at that amount as I don't use that much diesel and didn't want excess fuel 'sitting around' for extended periods.

I put power service in all my diesel and stabil in gasoline. After sitting for over 9 months, my diesel generator starts on one pull.
My gas powered Honda water pump has over 1500 hours on it sitting out by the dam, also starts on one pull. If I remember to choke it or turn the run switch on first. I connected a walk behind lawnmower 5 gallon gas tank to it. So the additives work well.

I learned a long time ago, from my first aircraft mechanic job, that keeping the tanks full helps keeps condensation to a minimum.

I did basically the same thing but used a 55 gallon drum. It's on a homemade pallet with some heavy duty Harbor Freight wheels so I can roll it around easily. If needed I can use the loader to take it out of the truck when full. The only thing I did differently is I got a 12v power supply to run the pump off of 120v if needed. I cut the cord going to the pump so it's maybe 4" long and put a twist lock plug on it. I have both a cord with alligator clips on it to connect to a battery and the cord coming off the power supply has the same plug. It's a 120v plug but being it's the only twist lock plug of that size I have nobody is going to accidentally plug the pump directly into 120v.

Well, that's crazy, AL.:laughing: I am confused,:confused3:, as to why you need it to run off of 120 volts?:confused2:

I decided to not use a drum, as they can rust from condensation. I have been hauling my off road fuel in a 30 gallon plastic barrel. I would put the Power Service in it, then lay it on it's side on my tailgate, then drain it into 5 gallon cans.

I don't have enough pavement around here that would allow me to put wheels on it. I just move it when I need to with my SSSQA forks. It's either in the woodshed where I park the tractor, or in the pickup going to get refilled.

Those hand pumps can be a handful. My friend had one on her Ford's biodiesel tank. It was a bear to pump and watch the levels.

Doing well down here in FORTRESS TASMANIA... we've got a moat and aren't afraid to use it! Which, unfortunately, meant asking all of the tourists to leave. Anyone returning to the State (essential personnel exempted) must self quarantine for 14 days. We've had 1 death in the State, who had returned from a cruise ship. 37 deaths for the whole country, so far.
