Here is my Springfield, Just an old 1911a1 bought for about $300 back in the mid 90's but has some custom work done on it. Back in the day you couldn't buy good ready to compete pistols like you can now. You always had to have them custom made, and of course I did. I shot a few dozen rounds out of this one on the 4th. The wife shot a few dozen more. The Old Springfield has been a good one. A very rugged and durable pistol. I think you will be very happy with your range officer model.
Oh, by the way, I popped of a couple cylinder full's of .44 magnum loads in my Ruger first before firing the .45 and the .45 felt like a ***** cat.
