Congrats on your tractor purchase. I agree that you will love your tractor. I think you will be very surprised at what the around 30 hp tractor can do.
Happy tractoring!

I have a Fredrick's rebuilt YM 2402D. I think it is similar to the YM 2420. Does yours have the powershift transmission?

Whoops misread that and thought you had a 2420. Only difference is the 02 is standard gear drive I think.

Sad I forget now what the xx02 represents, the sad part is mine is a YM2002D

Per the Fredericks website the 02 are the later gear drive equivalent of the 20 series.

The 02's and 20's have wet brakes, some but I don't think all have power steering.

Congrats on your purchase, you will be happy with it. 4wd is a great option to have, and a loader will really be nice too. I bought my 2210d 3 years ago and wished I would have bought it 10 years ago. My 2210d came from Fredricks with a loader and I go it for $9000. I eventually purchased a tiller, but still need a box blade. I don't think the 2210d is to small for me, I am 6 foot tall and 230 pounds, but any extra room is always nice. I did move the seat back on slides and that gave me extra room that wasn't there initially. Post some pictures of your tractor when you have time, all of us here want to drool over it!!:D

Haven't been to Fredrick's in quite a few Yrs.. Nice setup! Your come to enjoy your new to you Yanmar. They do a great job on their tractors refurbishing them. I was lucky to have both worlds. A Ym2500 Fred.Ref. from Spalding and then my all Orig. Ym2000 which I still have to the day. 5'-10" 215Lbs. in the pic.. I did move the seat back a few inches and that made for a good fit for me. Now I'm 180Lbs. so I have a lot more room it seems. Plenty on the 2500 but I won't go any smaller than the 2000.. One of the reasons I bought it. Just came up is the foot room is limited. I have to watch when wearing boots and using 1st. gear PTO.. I'll catch the Shifter on my heal and pop it out of gear. Another reason I'm glad I have my 2nd working and lift it up out of the way.... Another thing that caught my eye when walking by it was Tom's I believe he said it was BA> Helicopter. You don't see one of those very often that's for sure............
