Model Year?

How do you know what model year tractor you are buying?
They do not come with a company bill of sale, but with a bill from the dealer. There is no identification number as to year or month of production. So how do you know, if your getting this years model or last years?? Anyone

Tractors aren't like cars. Models come on the market and remain static until the company decides to refresh or reengineer them. That's why the hour meter is so important.
If they did make some change to a production model without renaming it, you would need to track it by the VIN.

For many years, Kubota assigned the "model year" based on the year that individual tractor was actually sold to the retail customer. They did this because they would build many units of a particular model and put them in warehouses around the world - sometimes an individual unit didn't sell until 2 years or more after it was built, but it was still "new". Don't know if this practice continues today or not.

I found a .pdf that will identify the month/year when your engine was manufactured. (attached)
