You will like the MX5400, heavy, plenty of power, comfortable. Are you seeking the hydrostatic transmission? Only option in my opinion, fits my needs for loader, rotary cutter, and grapple work for 30 acres in North Texas.

Yep, I am really excited. Originally considered the L4701, but the MX5400 gives you so much more, for not much more money. I am still trying to make up my mind about the HST. I've driven an HST on the JD I rent for cutting my pastures, and am not sold. I will say, I haven't tried using a loader while shifting with a Stick. Ive got 38 acres - 14 pasture and 24 trees.

I really wanted a Kubota but could not justify it. Saved $8000 by going with LS. I paid cash so the 0% financing was not enough of a draw.

L8je others said, shop around but the market had changed. Heck, even used cars are in limited supply in my area. The local TYM dealer just opened this test and sold 8 machines in a couple of weeks...and he is a tiny operation.

QUESTION. . . I have read on a couple of posts, including this one, that Kubota might have a significant price increase in 2021. Does anyone have more info on that? Is this Fact, Fiction, or just Rumor?

I'm afraid it's not a rumor..
I have got an info but it's from Europe. From January 2021 7 th Kubota prices will increase 11 %.
Mainly because of Stage 5 regulation and for other reasons too (COVID ect...).

"Stage 5 regulation" should not hit the USA....YET!
Price increase in USA though, will likely come for 2021,....just because they can !

That's right but my two cents you will have a kubota price increase and I really wonder if it will be less of 10 % !

I agree with Kubota price increase in January, seems it was mentioned on this forum by someone with ties to a dealership, and I recall it being more than 10%, but my memory is no longer my strongest attribute since retirement so don’t put any stock in my comment.

Well, after going to 3 dealerships my choice was pretty easy. I got a quote for an MX5400 DTC, 3rd Function Valve, Quick Hitch, Bush Hog, Box Blade, and Disc Harrow. Talked to the guy for quite a while. Asked about any known price increase, and he said probly, but didn稚 know any specifics. Got home with a bid for an open station and the cab model. Wife said, let me hear about the tractor. After the initial shot of electricity that went thru her after seeing the quote, she happily gave me the thumbs up. Sale will be final on Monday, and delivery will be 12/28. Wanted to wait for delivery till the wife and I get back in town after Christmas. Wow! ! ! This is a great Christmas present for the next 10 years! Hopefully my picture will upload.
