I would like to think of myself as "informed".....but apparently, I'm uninformed or misinformed.
Well that is good to expand your knowledge in different areas...obviously food production affects every single person on earth. Of course here in United States most manufactured food products is are sold to the end consumer behind a huge amount of commercialism.
A lot of isn't new, some of these documentaries date easily date back 10 years or more and many of the arguments put forth by the "anti's" as corporate shills would try to paint those with opinions contrary to a company's official propaganda line, have played out exactly as predicted. Things such as increased weed tolerance "superweeds" and stronger government sanctioned chemical mixtures along with increased applications to keep up a level of crop profitability. Even seed control, licensed ownership loss of choice is real in the world's commodity agriculture production.
There is plenty to find out and people need to make informed choices..
This is very good too.

Monsanto's Dark History 1901-2013
Having survived cancer and being cancer free now for 3 years, this was all of great interest to me post-op. If you want to edumacate yourself, look up ROUND-UP and what it is/does/etc.
As you already saw the tip of the iceberg on Monsanto, take a look at the differences between food in the USA and in Europe. It will amaze you at what the EU does NOT allow and then you have to ask WHY we do? Simple foods like crackers, etc.- check the ingredients list!
Then check out the chemicals they allow to be sprayed onto our produce...our vegetables...all to make them more "appealing" for you in the grocery store.
We want to have a hobby farm on our 32 acres. 4-5 cattle to have our own beef, 15 chicken for our own eggs and some meat (eventually we'll have to increase that #). The taste difference alone is amazing. We have 6 chickens that produce eggs already. We bought 1/2 cow from a neighboring farmer and that's been GREAT!
There's a LOT to digest... and a warning... it will turn your stomach. But cancer is on the rise for a reason, and this is just one of them!
I acknowledge this is an anecdote, but it is on point. We have a friend who was diagnosed with lung cancer and he had never smoked. The doctor told his wife that food additives are in part responsible for the increase.
Which part of my comments above is an anecdote?
