Rewired MC/ATV/Sled trailer 2-3 years ago but every G..damn time I need to use it I have to nearly rewire it. Mice chew through wires every time. Granted it's usually only 1-2 times a year, but it's really getting on my last nerve. Have tried jamming moth balls into the 2"x2" frame tubing/chase with wires the last few times, but it's clearly not working. I'd sure appreciate any help

I put PURE peppermint oil in small bottle with cotton balls for mice and a few mothballs in another bottle.Best recipe I have found for mice.

Ok, I'm gonna try all these. Been wondering about the cat thing already. Thanks guys. Anybody think a split wire loom would stop them? Seems like it wouldn't slow them down much.

I prefer the 'Last Supper' method for dealing with rodents of all sizes. Works year-round in truck, trailer, barn, & garage.
I set both sizes SxS to keep little pests from robbing bigger traps. Sunflower seeds are best bait 24/7/365 unless you want to add mold or ants as attractants. (Use RV AF in bucket/roller traps up North)

btw, IMO trapping in corners like poisoning just isn't the best way/place to accumulate bodies. Set where inspection/access is easiest for you and recognize that a scent highway will accrue. I toss rodents out to feed the local critters that stay out of my chit vs use as bait for the sake of killin' or for having a recipe for skunk or 'possum. Never expecting a tip for setting a table for a variety of clientele.

Block the tubing with steel wool.

After mice chewed the wiring in the overhead console of my skidsteer, I stuff those scented clothes dryer anti static sheets in there. Never had any more problems

One year I AGGRESSIVELY trapped with Victor mouse traps. I got 47 mice and 29 chipmunks. Then I made an amazing discovery. For every mouse or chipmunk trapped - there were two more - out in the pucker brush - waiting to "come on down".

I find that repelling is far more effective than trapping.
