But Southerners are welcomed if they do want to stay. Bottom line is that Northerners just don't have a bone to pick with Southerners. It's a one way grudge match!!

I was raised in Michigan and lived my first 33 years north of Mason-Dixon. Moved south in 1998. Politely beg to differ that it's a one-way grudge match. We avoid visiting up north because of the teasing, name calling, and finger pointing. Funny thing about it is we look same as when we moved here, we only talk a little different now and have a North Carolina tag on the car.

Work relocated me here and I won't go back unless forced to.

Wow. I have literally never seen such behavior in New England where we are often quite impolite by Southern standards. We have many excellent southern students in Boston and Cambridge and a fair number of visitors from down south in the summer. Never seen anything worse than a giggle at a differently pronounced word. Visiting Yankees fans we verbally brutalize with pleasure but other visitors are usually treated better than we treat each other.

Patriots fans are Massholes generally and those that travel 1500 miles when they could have watched at home are extreme even by our standards.

The pictures on TV of the total post-apocalyptic driving after 6 inches of snow. That always gets a bemused chuckle.

It's all in the delivery. We make fun of each other in a light hearted manner about those same things but the same 'fun' can be turned around by someone with ill will on their agenda.

Oh yea. I love videos of snow or black ice in Dallas or Atlanta. Great entertainment.
