Did you ever get your tractor started?

I haven't, but I haven't had time to be out there for more than a couple minutes. Hope to be out there more this weekend.

So it was the battery. We were finally able to test the battery and it wouldn't charge. Picked up a new battery from tractor supply and it started right up. $100 later that is. Must have been a dead short.

A hundred bucks ain't bad for a tractor battery. Glad you got her going. I had been jumping my B7500 off for two years. Last fall I finally bought a battery for it. It makes life simpler, being able to shut it down, knowing it will crank up again when you need it.

Good. Glad to hear you got it going.

Yep. Nice to have her back in service. Just in time to plow some more snow. Although the septic contractor came out and plowed the place. I assume he did it either because a) he wanted to make sure he could get all his equipment in or b) he felt bad he hasn't gotten the job done yet. Either way, it has snowed several more inches since he plowed. Officially the snowiest January on record in southeast michigan.

Strange... you have the snowiest January and I have the driest in California.

I have a question for those of you who have a back blade for your tractor and use it to push snow. Do you push the snow with the tractor and reverse, or do you pull the snow with the tractor going forward? I know you can kind of do both, but I was just wondering which way most people have their blade facing.

I have a 6 ft, it's probably half and half. You can only pull up to a certain point and then you have to swing the blade around and finish up by pushing. By the time you are done you have a case of tractor neck lol.
