That is a nice coop and house but I wonder if there is enough daylight for the winter months when the hens may be inside quite a bit?

It seems like many of these small coops and tractors lack windows and a means to provide controlled ventilation. Sunshine and fresh air are good animal medicine, plus the daylight will help with egg production in winter. A few wall sections of greenhouse poly-carbonate panel set above the bedding level would be useful for admitting light I think. I see you have an air vent at the peak.

Yes, windows would be good. I will probably out a light on a timer in the winter. Not sure I will add a window at this point, but definitely when I build a bigger coop.

There a peak vents on either side. I will probably put some sort of air filter over them in the winter to slow down drafts but still allow for ventilation.

Another good one tonight.

Very nice. I was out in the garden picking the Brown Crowder peas, and the sunset was starting to look good. But Margie came out and reminded me I was supposed to take Mamma her supper. By the time I got back from doing that it was too dark for a picture.

I have gotten lucky the last couple nights. The garden still looks good.

I picked up at flat bed trailer made from a pop up camper for $75. The metal and wheels look good and I will just have to replace the decking. I may make a chicken tractor out of it. Pictures when I pick it up.
