moving trailers

The first one I made for myself was just like kvjohndeere's. However, with multiple balls on it, you get restricted in tight turns. The second one I made is like gunmakers. It accepts any 2 inch drawbar and I keep a 3-way on it. It works a lot better, and is also the way my logsplitters (which I also build) attach. Here's a pic of one of my hitch drawbars from a setup I did for a guy with a Massey:

For all you's who have BH's on the back of their tractor, I am sure you would agree it is a pain in the neck trying to move a trailer around.

I've been thinking for sometime of making up a frame that would hitch to loader assembly instead of bucket. The trailer is then steered forward, rather than dragged from the three point hitch.

So you load up the trailer with the loader bucket, drop the bucket, pick up the tow ball assembly, attach trailer and drive forward steering the trailer around. If your trailer has no tail gate you could lift the loader arms up to dump the load. One guy I spoke to suggested drilling a hole in the bucket instead of a frame to accomodate a tow ball.

nails_n_glue: I have a 3pt adapter for my loader and I run mine on the front nearly as often as on the back...

I use my box blade to move my trailers around. I cut a square hole in the back of the box blade, welded in a reciever tube with some 3/16" flat bar all around for strength. Flat bar also extends inside the box blade from reciever tube to the box blade main frame for more support. Works great without having another implement to hook up or buy.
