Backhoe Mower and Backhoe BX25

Does anyone know why the manual says NOT to mount the backhoe with the mower deck on the tractor? I know it will fit with the mower in place because the dealer did it when they delivered the mower deck (which was back ordered). I can see why you would not want to cut grass with the backhoe in place but I may want to attach the backhoe for some quick job without having to remove the mower which is a pain in the butt.

There was some input about spiking hydraulic pressures when operating the 3PH height adjustment, which you're more apt to do with the MMM installed. Something like that.

I have the BX2230 with Woods BH6000 which is essentially identical to the BX22. I have the BH mounted with the MMM installed all the time for, as you say, completing a quick job. If the going gets more serious, I remove the MMM not because any manual says so, but just to narrow up the tractor and lower the weight.

To say it another way, I've never heard of any reported problems to man or machine by having the MMM and BH simultaneously mounted, myself included. USING the MMM with the BH installed is another story. I've done it briefly and it isn't fun.

I would just disconnect the Hydraulic lines to avoid damaging the valves if you want to mow with it on. Other than the reasons stated by Keithinspace no one can come up with a reason why it needs removing beside just being a PITA to mow with it on.

Interesting...The first year or so I used my BX23, I kept the MMM and BH on and used both...Better start reading the instructions.

this is another discrepancy in the manual in my IMHO. same with liquid ballast with BH on. There is no point saying you cant do this, can't do that in owners manual without explanation.

My BX23 was especially disigned to operate with out removing FEL BH or MMM so I have never taken any of those attachmens off to use the tractor, .
