( I would definately look at the Power Trac. I have similar hills and demo'ed a Kubota GR2000 (20hp, 48" deck). It is 4wd with glide steer. (the glide steer system enables the tractor to turn VERY sharply without tearing up the turf. It disengages the inside rear wheel when turning. The glide steer combined with 70 degrees of front wheel turn let's the tractor turn in almost ZTR'ish fashion) I was almost sold on this 6K unit until I demo'ed a used Power trac 180. I can get a new PT-180, 45" finish mower, and a 48" brush cutter for $6800 delivered. I feel it's a much better value for me. Your mileage may vary! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )

After reading this I felt I should also check out the Kubota! Afterall, I do have the B2910, so if I went that route I would have one dealer and an orange fleet! I had never looked at any of the other Kubota mowers other than the BX series. Thanks for the info on the GR2000. Any idea what they want for the diesel??

Found a good thread on Lawnsite regarding the new Kubota GR2100. I will be taking a hard look at this tractor. Check out the picture of it on a hill... GR2100 on hill

About $600 more I think but please double check! That would be the GR2100 and you can get it with the 54" deck.

( After reading all this let us know what you've decided because now I'm confused )

It looks like I will be getting the GR2100! Today was test drive day and I was fortunate that it has been raining all day. I was able to see what these machines would do in less than perfect conditions. I drove a Hustler Super Mini Z which seeemed to be a great machine but I couldnt really get an idea of how it would do on slopes because it was so wet. I am sure that an experienced operator would have been able to get around just fine but it was slipping and sliding on a slope that was not as steep as the ones I have. Again, it wasn't a good test because it wwas so wet and I would never mow under these conditions.

I test drove a GR2100 on a wet slope and it was amazing! Amazing enough that it is in my garage right now. I took it home to demo... As soon as I got it off the trailer I headed for my hills. Keep in mind that it has been raining all day. In a nutshell I could go wherever I wanted and do whatever I wanted. Stop, go, turn, whatever... It has bar tread tires on it and they didnt even tear up the grass at all! I havent even cut a blade of grass yet and I am very impressed with this machine! I will start a new thread and post some pics over the weekend...

John, Yeah I know the rain thing (I'm in calvert county),but at least it'll help that grass grow so you can give the GR2100 a valid test /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'll be looking forward to pics when you get around to it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
