At my age, I reckon I've tried it all. My first lawnmower was a reel type push mower, then a gas powered Clinton. And then the Lawnboy; best walk behind lawnmower ever made. In more recent years, out in the country, I had both finish mower and brush hog for my Kubota tractors, and both Stihl and DR string trimmers. Back in town I've had all 3; walk behind, self-propelled and ZTR Toros. But NOW . . . it's a self-propelled EGO battery powered walk behind mower, an EGO battery powered string trimmer, and an EGO battery powered blower. Of course I also have a seldom used Mantis "fast starting engine option" tiller, dethatcher, edger, 2 stroke gas engine.

60 inch Scag Wildcat with a water cooled Kawasaki engine. If it starts, it's a beast. You just never know if it's going to start.

Picture is the most recent of it stuck in my pond. I do this all the time. I haven't figured out how close to the water I can get after 8 years of trying.

Seems most of the commercial units stay just under the 19K ANSI max. My Yazoo was advertised at 18.5.

My dad had a Howse 72” finish mower( still has but doesn’t use anymore) that was claimed to turn like 27,000 FPM and my calculations supported the idea. It sounded like it was about to lift off the ground at any point. His yard was mostly crab grass that he let get a foot tall before he mowed it. Most mowers suffer to get a good cut in tall stringy grass but it would do a perfect job.
